The release outlines the main directions of the government's activities, including growing funding for science, the establishment of an investment fund for businesses, and the implementation of the administrative-territorial reform alongside decision-making in the Covid crisis.
Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš was quoted:
“In government work, we are all united with a common goal of making our country stronger. Despite the external challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Belarusian hybrid attack, the concentration of Russian military forces at the Ukrainian border, over the three years we have implemented the planned program to strengthen our country and the well-being of the people. By making major changes in the fields of higher education and science, the financial sector, investment attraction, administrative division, and other areas, the government has placed important foundations for the country's future development. Our concern will continue to focus on economic growth, stability, and security."
As reported previously, Krišjānis Kariņš' government has lasted the longest in the history of the Latvian state.
