President piped aboard U.S. destroyer in Rīga

On July 11, Latvian President Egils Levits visited the destroyer USS Arleigh Burke during a stopover in Rīga.

The Presidential Chancellery released a brief video of the occasion, which can be seen above.

The USS Arleigh Burke is currently on her second patrol in the US Navy's European Area of Operations, working with NATO allies and partners.

The ship began patrolling the Atlantic and Mediterranean in June before sailing in the Baltic Sea.
