53 deputies voted for the transfer of the bill to the committees, 14 voted against.
The Saeima also transferred to the committees a draft on the medium-term budgetary framework for the following three years.
Parliamentary secretary of the Finance Ministry Atis Zakatistovs said that this is a draft law on sustainable budgets, and stressed that it was based on macroeconomic forecasts for this period, as confirmed by experts from the Bank of Latvia, Finance and Economics Ministries.
The Saeima Budget and Finance Commission is planning to start looking at the budget draft already next week. It is planned that the budget could be examined and adopted in two readings.
