The Rīga Vidzeme District court has set a €70,000 bail for Edgars Teterovskis, a businessman arrested in a probe over large-scale graft in the Rīgas satiksme municipal transport company, the court told the press February 13.

The bail has not been paid and Teterovskis remains behind bars for the time being.

This past weekend, LTV also reported that Igors Volkinšteins, a Rīga City Council official also detained in the case, was freed on €100,000 bail.

Latvia's Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) is investigating possible corruption concerning three tenders, concluded from 2013 to 2016 and worth about €270 million altogether, issued by the Rīgas satiksme municipal transport company.
