The US House of Representatives and the Senate's Armed Forces Committee last week approved the United States' defense budget, which foresees $100 million to be used for supporting the Baltics, according to the document published on the Senate's web-site.
As part of the European Defense Initiative, $100 million will be used in the Baltics to ''improve the region's capabilities to withstand Russian aggression and strengthen military capabilities to deter Russian aggression''.
Meanwhile, the US will also be allocating $350 million to Ukraine.
Overall, the US will allocate $4.6 billion for its European Defense Initiative.
