27 more attempts to cross Latvia-Belarus border prevented

On Monday, January 31, the border guard prevented 27 people from crossing the Latvian-Belarusian border, the exact same figure as Wednesday.

Since the announcement of the state of emergency on the Latvia-Belarus border August 10, 2021, the Border Guard has prevented 5,506 persons from crossing the border.

No persons were detained for illegal border crossing.

Since the announcement of the state of the emergency, 113 people have been allowed to cross the border citing humanitarian reasons.
