Since the announcement of the state of emergency on the Latvia-Belarus border August 10, the Border Guard has prevented 5,294 persons from crossing the border.
No persons were detained having crossed the border illegally.
Since the announcement of the state of the emergency, 110 people have been allowed to cross the border citing humanitarian reasons.
