B-52 Stratofortress, A-10 Warthogs put in an appearance

In an ear-splitting display of military power Monday, a US Air Force B-52 'Stratofortress' put in an appearance over Latvia as part of ongoing 'Saber Strike' NATO military exercises.

The B-52 put in an overflight of the Adazi military base at a rather lower altitude than its normal operating altitude, as a video clip posted by Latvia's armed forces showed.

Also on hand were two much-loved A-10 Warthog ground attack aircraft who, unusually, seemed quiet in comparison.

Saber Strike exercises have another week to run.
