The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) has announced that its annual conference on Russia will take place March 2-3 in Tartu, Estonia. This year's conference, titled "Russia's Futures," will focus on the challenges emanating from a revisionist Russia in the coming years.

As usual, the conference will bring together leading experts on Russia from academia, government, and the private sector to discuss a range of topics, including Russia's domestic politics, foreign policy, and economic outlook. The conference will also include panels on the security implications of Russia's actions for the Baltic region and beyond.

The keynote speaker will be Pål Jonson, Swedish Defence Minister.

"The panels will discuss a variety of interconnected topics, including how global powers can deter Russia, NATO’s Russia compass, Russia’s military recovery, the hostile battleground in digital and cyber space, and any prospects for a Russian path to normalcy. We intend to discuss not only the current situation, but also future scenarios that will have an impact on transatlantic security and the Baltic Sea region for decades to come," says advance material.

The BALTDEFCOL is a professional military education institution that provides education and training for military and civilian personnel from the Baltic states and Allied countries. The BALTDEFCOL's annual conference on Russia was first held in 2015 and is a key event for anyone interested in the future of Russia and its relations with the rest of the world.
