Latvian researcher Mārtiņš Kaprāns has produced another excellent summary of the various lies and half-truths directed in Latvia's direction during the last few weeks.

Writing in his regular capacity for the Washington-based Center for European Policy analysis (CEPA), Kaprāns' latest update titled Kremlin Scare Tactics in Latvia focuses on the usual allegations that we're all a bunch of raving Nazis.

Harmony party MEP Andrejs Mamikins also makes an appearance in Russian broadcasts. though he is cited as both journalist (his former profession) and political scientist.

"Russia and local Russophone activists keep exploiting European and other international arenas to gain recognition for their efforts to portray the Baltic states as non-democratic and neo-Nazi," Kaprāns concludes.

As usual, Kaprāns provides full links to the materials under discussion for those wanting to view them first-hand.
