The State Real Estate's (VNĪ) price survey for the construction of the next seven sections of Latvia's eastern border infrastructure has concluded. Six stages will be constructed by Citrus Solutions and one stage by VIA, the VNĪ said on June 20.

The total sum of the seven-stage infrastructure contracts will be EUR 38.7 million (excluding VAT), according to Renārs Griškevics, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the VNĪ.

A price survey on the construction of infrastructure of seven sections of the Eastern Frontier of 63.9 kilometers was launched in April 2022. 16 construction operators participated, and tenders were submitted by four bidders, three of them having submitted tenders for carrying out all stages of work.

The design work already undertaken by the construction merchant Citrus Solutions at nine priority stages of the eastern border, which takes place in accordance with the schedule previously approved for the design, is currently coming to an end.

The construction of the eastern border infrastructure is carried out in stages. The project provides for the construction of a developed state border for a total of 173 kilometers.
