The Ministry of Education and Science has received 1,525 Acer TravelMate P2 laptops.
Šuplinska said that the first computers would go to municipalities this week. The priority is the 12 municipalities which currently have stricter rules on COVID-19. A total of 6,000 PCs are scheduled to be delivered gradually by mid-December.
These computers can be used by teachers and delivered to pupils at home.
Previously, local governments have repeatedly called out the problems of accessing the Internet for remote learning.
By the end of the year, IZM intends to complete the purchase. The devices will be delivered to municipalities which will transfer them to more than 400 schools according to a proportional distribution. It is planned that the largest educational institutions will be given approximately 30 computers each.
