Moose catches a ride from Rīga to Liepāja

Take note – story published 3 years ago

The moose who was seen running errands in the center of Rīga Tuesday morning has been given a lift to forests near Liepāja, Latvian Television reported October 24.

On Tuesday, eyewitnesses reported seeing a moose in Rīga center - first shopping at a DIY store, then waiting for a train at the Central Station, evidently missing it and opting for a swim in the River Daugava.

The animal apparently decided to wait for his next train on Zaķusala - but before he figured out his schedule, rescuers gave him a ride to the forests near Liepāja on Saturday. It is unknown whether they consulted the moose on his preferred destination.
