Traditionally, from December 9 to January 9 each year, the Rīga Zoo is also open in the evening hours, shifting the normal final entrance time from 16:00 to 19:00 and allowing a walk through the zoo until 21:00.
Every evening at 18:00, registering in advance at 29135839, visitors can book a guided tour. “The zoo will be illuminated by hundreds of lights, the animal secrets will be shared by an experienced tour guide and a storyteller,” said Lielkalns.
The zoo operates in “green mode”, requiring an interoperable Covid-19 certificate at the entrance.
