Of the new cases, 609 cases were unvaccinated persons, or persons not fully vaccinated, and 486 were fully vaccinated. As a result of the latest additions, the total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic has passed the 250,000 mark and now stands at 250,132.
Of the 12,530 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 8.7% were positive. The 14-day cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population fell from 721 Wednesday to 706 Thursday.

Unfortunately, 20 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed Thursday. All of the victims were aged over 50 years. Two of the fatalities were fully vaccinated individuals. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4,083.
Wednesday data show 967 patients being treated in hospital with 175 patients displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
