No additional Covid-related deaths were confirmed, so the death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 2,569.
There are currently 98 people being treated for Covid-related symptoms in Latvia's hospitals, of whom 9 are displaying serious symptoms.
On Monday, August 23, 2,303 people got the first jab of the vaccine against Covid-19 and 1,743 people got the second jab according to the National Health Service.
Meanwhile, in Estonia 375 new Covid cases were registered and in Lithuania 600 new cases were recorded.

All arrivals to the country (including returnees) need to fill in an electronic declaration prior to coming to Latvia. It is available at the website covidpass.lv.
