30 new Covid-19 cases recorded Monday in Latvia

The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 137,240.  

Of 4.023 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 0.7% were positive.

The 14-day cumulative infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants continued its decline, from 62.3 Sunday to 60.0 Monday. 

There were no more deaths from Covid-19 confirmed Monday, so the death toll since the start of the pandemic remains on 2,503.

Use of nose and mouth coverings, physical distancing and frequent hand washing and sanitary cleaning habits are encouraged.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv/. Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme.

All arrivals to the country (including returnees) need to fill in an electronic declaration prior to coming to Latvia. It is available at the website covidpass.lv.
