The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 130,712.
Of 14,100 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 3.1% were positive, exactly the same as Friday's figure and almost the same as Thursday's 3.0% rate.
The 14-day cumulative infection rate per 100,000 inhabitants fell significantly again from 405 Friday to 386.9 Saturday. Nevertheless, it is still higher than the 200 threshold classed as a "very high risk" pandemic situation under the government's four-stage "traffic light" system.
