75% of Latvia's adults fully vaccinated against Covid-19

Newswire LETA reported December 8 that according to the latest data from the National Health Service, 75% of the adult population over 18 in Latvia are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

Over the past 24 hours, 1,005 people got the first Covid jab and 2,795 got the second dose. Another 371 people got the single-dose Janssen shot. Demand for booster shots was still high with around 6,100 people getting their booster. In total, 10,366 people got their Covid-19 vaccine on Tuesday.

So far, 1.286 million people have started vaccination against Covid-19 and 1.215 million have already completed the course. Booster shots have been administered to 110,031 people.
