A further 36 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Latvian territory, raising the total number of cases from 244 on Thursday to 280 on Friday.
The new figure was released by the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) which said 1,089 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period.
In total 11,702 tests have been carried out since February 29.

Meanwhile in Lithuania, LRT English reports that the total number of Covid-19 cases has climbed to 345, including 24 NATO troops.
In Estonia, ERR News reports that as of Thursday morning, 538 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus and 7,090 tests have been carried out across the country. The number jumped from 404 to 538 on Thursday morning after a change to the Health Board's data collection process. The 134 positive results reported were two days worth of results.
