Covid certificate to be suspended for seven days after positive test

Take note – story published 2 years ago

The Covid-19 certificate will be suspended for seven days following a positive laboratory test instead of ten, the National Health Service said January 27.

The vaccination certificate shall be suspended for a period expiring on the seventh day from the date of sampling of the Covid-19 test. This means, for example, that if the sample is taken in the laboratory on February 1 at 12:00 and it comes back positive, the vaccination certificate will be renewed on February 8 at 12:00.

Amendments to the Cabinet regulations have been made in line with the latest recommendations of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. Previously, the vaccination certificate was suspended for 10 days following a positive Covid-19 test result and renewed on the 11th day. Currently, there is a need to ensure continuity of work in many sectors so the term was shortened.
