Ministries have not yet decided on some of the specifics. However, it is planned that:
- general working hours are to be limited from 6:00 to 21:00;
- all services and activities are planned to be organized in “green mode”;
- cultural events could only be attended with a Covid-19 certificate;
- a maximum of 1,000 people will be able to gather at events (in green mode);
- malls will be closed on weekends and holidays;
- only small first-necessity shops could work in the "red mode";
- indoor entertainment would still be banned;
- only vaccinated and recovered persons will be able to work onsite;
- residents will be invited to continue their remote work as far as possible;
- educational processes will be organized in “bubbles”, careful not to let more pupils meet;
- pupils, including those vaccinated against Covid-19, are scheduled to be tested twice a week.
Advisor to the Health Minister, Kaspars Bērziņš, said at a press briefing that the tough restrictions have improved the overall situation. "We have broken off the very steep rise, we will have a stabilized situation unfortunately with risks. We cannot yet afford to open the society fully. With the measures after November 15 that will be more free but not completely free we will be able to control the volume of infections," said Bērziņš.
While it is currently envisaged that lockdown will end as planned on November 15, a formal decision will be taken next week, based upon the epidemiological situation prevailing in the country.
