One dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be equated to a full vaccination course if vaccination is performed within 180 days of a laboratory-approved positive Covid-19 test, the National Health Service (NVD) said July 22.

The vaccination certificate will be available 14 days after the vaccination, not including the day of.

NVD said if one dose of the vaccine has been received by a former Covid-19 patient before July 21, they should visit covid19sertifikats.lv and download a new certificate. Accordingly, the new certificate will contain correct data and will be considered as a certificate for a complete vaccination course.

Such a decision was adopted by the Latvian government on July 6 on the basis of the latest studies on vaccine effectiveness and the recommendation of the Council of Europe of 14 June on the need for these people to be considered fully vaccinated in the context of travel.

The above vaccination certificate is valid only in those countries of the European Union that have adopted the rule, recognizing a single dose of vaccine after having had Covid-19 as a full vaccination course.

On entry from other countries, this type of certificate is valid in Latvia as of July 21.
