Free emergency dental care for children introduced in Latvia

Latvia is introducing state-funded emergency dental care services on Saturdays for children up until the age of 18 (excluding), National Health Service said on July 13.

These services will be available in five cities and are intended for cases when dental care is needed suddenly or acutely: in case of persistent tooth pain, swelling of the cheek or gums, or dental injuries. The dentist will evaluate whether urgent care is necessary.

The service will be provided in the following medical establishments:
