Latvia to donate medical equipment to Ukraine

On Tuesday, April 26, the government supported a donation of medical equipment worth €29,996 to the Ukrainian transplant coordination center.

The State blood donor center (VADC) will, from its resources, donate equipment for the storage of platelet mass, scales for blood preparation, centrifuge, blood separation equipment, and other devices.

The cooperation partner “ECT Nordic OÜ” will donate mobile melting devices, scales for blood preparation and transportation temperature meters.

The State Fire and Rescue Service will coordinate the transportation of equipment, and logistical provision through the  European Commission Emergency Response Coordination Centre for freight transportation. Transport and logistics costs will be covered by the co-financing of the European Union (EU) at 100%.
