Since the beginning of the pandemic, 916,282 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,971. The latest two victimes were aged over 50 years.
Friday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 284 patients being treated in hospitals, seven of whom are displaying serious symptoms.
