This is the highest number by far confirmed in one day, sharply up on the previous record number of 642 on November 21.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic now stands at 15,171.
8,024 tests were carried out in the previous 24-hours of which 11.2% were positive, up sharply on the 6.7% rate the previous day.
Four deaths were also confirmed. One victim was aged 55 to 60, two were aged 70 to 75, one was aged 80 to 85.

So far 1,719 patients have recovered from infection and 188 have died.
The National Health Service (NVD) reported that 489 patients are currently being treated in hospital for coronavirus symptoms. Of that total 458 patients have moderate symptoms and 31 have serious symptoms.

On November 26, Estonia reported 415 new cases of coronavirus while Lithuania reported 2,104 cases.
On November 26, the 14-day cumulative number of COVID-19 cases per 100,000 of population was 282.6 in Latvia, 837.2 in Lithuania and 304.4 in Estonia, according to data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
