Nearly half of 70-79 year-olds have been vaccinated in Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

Among all age groups, the largest proportion of vaccinated people is in the group of people aged 70 to 79 years, namely, 47% of these people have got their jabs, Vaccination Bureau representative Ieva Stūre told Latvian Television May 11.

She acknowledged that fewer people were vaccinated in the age group above 80, and it is currently being considered how to further identify and encourage these people.

Vaccination centers will work in 23 Latvian cities this week. Not all centers work at the same time.

As of May 10, people over 60 can show up at any working vaccination center from 9:00 to 10:00 without prior application and receive their jab.

Working days of vaccination centers are displayed in the table below.
