New assembly rules in place after June 9 in Latvia

Take note – story published 3 years ago

By June 10, up to 100 people will be allowed to gather indoors, outside up to 300, said Minister for Health Ilze Viņķele (Development/For) on June 4.

After June 9, the emergency situation is not planned to be extended, and assembly restrictions will also be relaxed: up to 100 people will be allowed to gather indoors and up to 300 people will be allowed outside. Everyone will still have to follow the two-meter distance.

The Minister stressed that it is necessary to continue to balance between health safety and economic activity.

If the distribution of COVID-19 in Latvia continues to fall, limits could be further relaxed in July, with an area greater than 1000 square meters allowing up to 500 people to gather inside and up to 1000 people outside.
