Of 2,495 tests carried out over the past day, 20.2% were positive, resulting in 503 confirmed new cases of infection. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 population fell from 295 Tuesday to 290 Wednesday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 969,495 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 6,113.
Wednesday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 478 patients being treated in hospitals, four of whom are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
