If a person has experienced symptoms of the disease – signs of acute respiratory infection, increased temperature, olfactory disorder, loss of taste – the Covid-19 test may be performed without referral with prior booking.
With the rapid spread of morbidity, demand for testing services is also increasing. Currently, to conduct a Covid-19 test, the average waiting time is between 2 and 4 days. The longest waiting time is in Riga.
The call waiting time has also increased to 5 minutes, in some cases up to 20 minutes, due to the significantly increased number of callers. The largest laboratories receive on average around 800-900 calls per hour. The Ministry of Health calls on everyone to be understanding and patient.
