State-paid testing was previously set to the end of June. It has now been decided to extend it to the end of summer.
Such a decision has been taken because people are more visiting public events and going outside Latvia, restrictions are being lifted.
The Ministry says that it is very important to detect cases of illness in a timely manner so that the infection does not spread.
