On November 16 the U.S. Ambassador to Latvia, John Carwile, handed over 14,000 medical isolation suits and 13,500 overalls to Latvia to assist in the battle against COVID-19.

"Allied support is essential in the context of the global pandemic, and we value it very much,” said Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks.

The U.S. embassy has previously donated face masks, disinfectant, face shields and medical gloves.

A photoshoot was arranged at the military warehouse in Rīga to record the handing over of the equipment with flags erected on the warehouse floor for the occasion.
