Last week, around 72,296 people got the vaccine against Covid-19 according to National Health Service (NVD) data, LETA reported November 1.

The number could still grow as data are not always entered in the joint system immediately.

Since mid-October, the proportion of people getting the first dose was around 80% against those getting the second jab, but last week this proportion declined to 72%, according to LETA's estimates.

Last week, 34,387 people received the first dose, 14,862 got the second, 17,788 patients were vaccinated with the single-dose jab. 3,091 people got the booster.

A total of 1,950,956 injections have been carried out in Latvia so far. 1,010,270 or 53.67% of the population have completed the vaccination process, including those getting the single-dose jab.
