It was planned to complete the reorganization earlier, but after a wider discussion in the government on the extent of the requested funds, the process was completed later than initially planned.
According to the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers on 19 January this year, financing was granted from the State budget in the amount of not more than €641 806 in order to ensure the functioning of the Vaccination Project Office. Of this amount, €525 646 was earmarked for the job remuneration of the Vaccination Office for 2021. For advice, expertise and other outsourcing, €116 160.
As a result, it was currently necessary to provide NVD with funding for the operation of the Vaccination Project Office as from 21 April this year.
Accordingly, the order of 19 January of the Cabinet of Ministers made adjustments to the amount of the requested funds. The government supported a maximum of €439 915 to ensure the operation of the Vaccination Project Bureau.
With the conversion of the Vaccination Bureau to a NVD unit, remuneration changes. As a result, for example, the head of the vaccination project bureau will receive €1917 instead of €4905, while a number of other workers – the vaccination process, logistics, information technology and communication officers – will receive €1647instead of €4247.
Instead of €2108, the assistant head of communication will receive €1190, while the communication consultant will receive €3300 instead of €1382. The co-ordination experts for the vaccination process will receive €1382, although the previous remuneration amounted to €2729 and €2446.
