Vaccination rate picks up again after Midsummer holidays in Latvia

On the week of the Midsummer holidays, June 21-27, the vaccination rate had dropped as vaccination centers were closed for two days, and on average 4,125 people were vaccinated each day, and 28,873 people received vaccines during the week, which was by 63 percent less than in the previous week.

On Monday, 12,073 people received vaccines, including 2,154 people who got a first jab (including 885 who got the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine) and 9,919 people who received a second jab.

To date, 646,816 people have received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in Latvia, and 521,588 people, or 27 percent of the population, have completed the vaccination process.
