A recent survey by the SKDS pollster says that 87% of Latvian residents think healthcare availability is bad to average.

According to the survey, commissioned by the Institute for Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility, just 7% think healthcare availability in Latvia is good, 42% think it's average, 31% think it's bad and another 14% think it's very bad.

The remaining 6% were unable to answer the question.

"These indices are sad to say the least," said Dace Helmane, head of the institute.

Likewise, 70% of the respondents agree that availability would be improved if more money were allocated to healthcare, while 23% said they mostly agree and the remaining 7% said they couldn't answer.
