Take note – story published 1 year and 3 months ago

Special extra trains will run between Rīga and Cēsis later this week to take visitors to and from the LAMPA conversation festival, train operator Pasažieru Vilciens (PV) confirmed June 5.

Three additional trains will be available on June 9, 10 and 11, PV said.

One additional service is in the direction from Rīga to Cēsis, and two are from Cēsis to Rīga. The train from Rīga to Cēsis will depart on June 10 at 8:44 am.

The trains from Cēsis to Riga will run on June 9 at 22:30, and on the night of June 10 to 11 at 00:01, a real midnight express.

On Friday, June 9, train No. 874 Rīga–Valga, which leaves Rīga at 10:46 a.m., will run in an extended or six-car composition.

As previously reported by LSM, more than 300 events will take place at LAMPA this year at various locations in Cēsis and the full agenda of conversations planned is available to peruse online at the official website: https://festivalslampa.lv/lv

As well as conversations in Latvian, there will be more than twenty in English, and LSM's English-language service will be bringing you most of them via livestreams from the festival. The full list of English-language discussions (with translation into Latvian also available) can be seen HERE.

Our colleagues on the LSM Latvian-language service will also be providing a wide selection of livestreamed conversations.
