Sākts kriminālprocess pēc KL 13. nodaļas, nozīmētas ekspertīzes, lai identificētu, ka atrasta tiešām A.Jansone. https://t.co/yVvrOJkbR2

Simona Grāvīte, a spokesperson for the State Police, confirmed to Latvian Radio that the woman's husband had also been informed about the incident and had identified the items.
"On Sunday, July 21, the State Police received information about the discovery of human remains and belongings which, according to their characteristics, probably match the description of Anna Jansone, who went missing in November. We cannot fully confirm this, so the State Police have opened criminal proceedings, and forensic tests have been ordered to identify and verify that Anna Jansone has indeed been found. The woman's husband has also been informed of the incident and has been called to identify the property. He identified the items."
The remains were found in Kalnciems parish, just a few kilometers away from where the car with Anna's dead baby was found last November. The general area had been searched before, but it was physically impossible to access the exact site during the search because of water.
The remains were found by a resident, LETA reports.
On November 1 2023, the State Police issued a missing persons notice for Anna Jansone, born in 1989, and her daughter Luīze Evertovska, born in 2023.
On November 2, in a forest area in Jelgava municipality, Valgunde parish, police officers found a Toyota Corolla rental car with a deceased infant inside, who, according to the police, was Luīze. But the mother was never found.
An expert examination revealed that Luīze, born in 2023, died of sudden infant death syndrome.
