On August 24, the Ukrainian independence day, a charity breakfast organized by the Ukrainian embassy in Latvia and the organization Agendum, known as Twitterconvoy, was held in Rīga along with an auction of unique items.

Altogether, EUR 72,009 was collected at the auction.

The entry fee to the breakfast at the Radisson Blue Latvia Sky bar was a donation, and a plethora of unusual items was auctioned with the revenue going to Ukraine's support.

Among the items were a Ukrainian Flag with the autograph of Commander of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny, a Javelin rocket casing with built-in acoustic equipment, the wine cabinet of the Mārtiņš Rītiņš' restaurant Vincents, a tie of the Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, and the President of the State Edgars Rinkēvičs' cufflinks. Items of Ukrainian origin were also offered, like boxer Vitaly Klichko's glove with a signature, the famous pink hat of the 2022 Eurovision winning Ukrainian group Kalush Orchestra, and others.

Twitterconvoy's founder Reinis Pozņaks told Latvian Radio that the foundation “Agendum” will continue to be used for the purposes to date: “We are absolutely simple, constant and understandable in this respect. We are sending cars to Ukraine; we need to repair them and need a lot of fuel, and that's where the funds would go.”

He acknowledged that no special purchase was planned because the biggest cost is for fuel – about 10 tonnes of fuel is needed every month to drive these cars to Ukraine,

Reinis Pozņaks also said that Latvia's population activity has not dwindled. So far, 1,689 cars have been delivered to Ukraine by Twitterconvoy, and new ones are heading to Ukraine on Friday, the total number exceeding 1,700.
