The majority state-owned Latvian carrier airBaltic will go on operating flights of the summer schedule between Tallinn and Malaga also during the winter timetable, from October to December.

"Malaga is one of the four new destinations we will launch from Tallinn this year. Although this year we will start the Tallinn-Malaga flights only in June, we can already see strong interest of Estonian passengers toward that service and are prepared to extend servicing of the destination by a couple of months," said Wolfgang Reuss, senior vice president of airBaltic for network planning.

During the winter timetable, flights between Tallinn and Malaga will be operated once a week.

airBaltic offers direct flights from Tallinn to Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Paris, Vienna and Vilnius, as well as connecting flights via Riga.

In June, the company is scheduled to launch direct flights from Tallinn to Malaga, Brussels and Copenhagen. A direct service to Salzburg is to launch in December.

airBaltic serves altogether 70 destinations from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius.
