Deadly summer continues as four people drowned Saturday

On Saturday, August 4, a total four people drowned in the country's water bodies, the State Fire and Rescue Service said.

In total, seven bodies were pulled from Latvian waters over the weekend (August 3 through August 5), according to the service's statistics

The hot summer has proven deadly in the country as 65 bodies have been been pulled from the water since the start of the warm season.

Since January 1, a total 87 people have been pulled from water bodies this year.
