This year, the marathon raised EUR 470,078 which will be channeled towards awareness and solutions of issues related to environmental accessibility to people with functional impairments and disabilities. This is the largest sum donated over the eight years of the marathon. For comparison, last year the campaign raised EUR 402,065.
As previously reported, Dod Pieci ran December 17 to 23 and involved DJs broadcasting from a glass box in historic Dome square in the center of Riga. Members of the public could request songs to be played by pledging 5 euros.

Funds donated during the marathon will be channeled through the project partners – the charity Ziedot.lv and the association of disabled people and their allies – for the installation of ramps and lifts, for the improvement of residences, for the purchase of technical aids and other needs related to improving environmental accessibility near public infrastructure.
