Events in Latvia to mark a year of Ukrainian heroism

Take note – story published 1 year ago

February 24 marks exactly one year since Russia's unprovoked and illegal invasion of Ukraine.

Moscow's plan was a quick victory. It didn't work out that way. Ukraine has demonstrated that it is unwilling to live by Russian rules, preferring freedom, dignity and self-determination to domination, fear and disgrace.

As Ukraine continues to defend itself and defeat the invaders, a series of events are planned in Latvia to expresssolidarity and support for its heroic effort, and many of these will be available to watch live here on LSM. Of course, another option is to participate in person if you happen to be in Latvia, and large turnouts are expected at these events with Latvia having proven that it is among Ukraine's staunchest supporters.
