Festival becomes buoyant due to flooding from the sea

This year the LMT Summer Sound festival has not been blessed with good weather. Its opening day is the coldest day of the week, and apparently the festival, held on the sea shore by the city of Liepāja, has been flooded with seawater.

Armands Kairis posted the following photos on Facebook, saying "Today it's Vējonis or 'Water sound '15" - referring to the new president Raimonds Vējonis, whose surname could be translated as 'windy'.

The following message that said "Hello festivalgoers, we are swimming a little, but everything's still happening. Maybe there'll be some updates to the schedule, we'll let you know" was posted on the festival's Twitter account.

Hopefully the atmosphere will become only more buoyant because of this - apparently long queues are already forming at the entrance.
