Fire at the Police College in Rīga Tuesday evening

On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out at the State Police College in Rīga, said the State Fire and Rescue Service (VUGD).

VUGD confirmed that at 16:52 the Service received information about a fire on Ezermalas Street.

The outer wall of the five-story education establishment building was on fire in the area of 80 square meters, and the fire had also spread inside the building – in the basement of 35 square meters, on the second floor of one square meter, and a ventilating shaft of 40 square meters. People didn't suffer in the fire.

The flame spread was restricted at 20:32, work on the site of the event continued later.

According to the police, the fire occurred after working hours, and there are no victims.

The police are investigating the circumstances.
