On the morning of Monday, March 13 a shopping center caught fire, reported Latvian Television. No one is hurt.

The sports gym at the shopping center as well as the roof is on fire.

There are six fire engines and 40 rescuers fighting the fire and more are to join.

Traffic restrictions have been introduced near the fire, with a blocked exit off the Brīvības gatve and Juglas st. near the fire.

By midday the fire had been localized.
