Former State Police chief Ints Ķuzis passes away

On Tuesday, August 9, the former Chief of State Police General Ints Ķuzis (1962–2022) passed away after fighting a serious illness, according to the State Police.

Ints Ķuzis had worked for the police for nearly 40 years, taking several high positions and making a significant contribution to the development of the State Police, said the police.

Between 2011 and 2020, he was chief of the State Police, becoming a long-term head of the institution.  During that time, the police overcame challenges and lay the foundations for the development and future of the State Police, the police said.

During the service, Kuzis received 37 awards and decorations for the service.
