Last Saturday, Latvia's border guards in cooperation with their Russian colleagues conducted joint operation Kordon 2019, and detained five men who had crossed the border illegally.
A criminal procedure has been started. The trespassers have been placed in the detention facility for illegal migrants in Daugavpils.
