Latvia joins viral dance challenge #Jerusalema

Since February, a dance challenge to a South African song Jerusalema has gone viral all over the world.  Several hundred Latvians in Dobele have taken up the challenge, Zemgale Regional TV reported September 27.

The #JerusalemaDance challenge is a simple yet energetic choreography to a song from South Africa, which was first done by people in Angola, then Portugal, and then went viral, according to The Guardian.

In Latvia, the idea to join belongs to fitness center Gold Barbell owner Ivars Cīrulis, who said that once he dropped in on social media, a chain reaction started and more than 400 people - not just from Dobele but other places in Latvia - joined in.

Dobele has challenged two other towns, Tukums and Jelgava, so there is still a chance to join in!
